Lake Eildon, one of Victoria’s largest and most popular inland waterway is telling visitors that it’s ready and rearing to go for the Labour Day weekend and Easter holiday season.

With a shoreline of over 500 kilometres and water levels that surpass that of Sydney Harbour during late Summer/early Spring, there is plenty of water available for boaters, fishers and water sports activities on Lake Eildon. Not to mention the over 27,000 ha. of rugged hills with open woodlands through dense forest to be explored.

Highlighting the many assets of Lake Eildon, particularly its ability to more than accommodate water activities is a video called “Lake Eildon – Victoria’s Favourite Inland Waterway.” Developed by Goulburn Murray Water and supported by the Lake Eildon Houseboat Industry Association (LEHIA), the video illustrates the magnitude of Lake Eildon and just why it is Victoria’s favourite inland waterway destination.

“We are in a great position here at Lake Eildon in that people can take part in all sorts of activities,” said Mike Dalmau, LEHIA president. “There is so much to enjoy, from houseboating, cruising, water sports and fishing amongst other things. And plenty of water to accommodate it all.

“In addition our tourism industry providers are well experienced, catering to visitors from Victoria and beyond.”
