EMAIL RECEIVED FROM Eflows Lower Goulburn
UPDATE: Goulburn River environmental flow for September and October 2019: planned hydrograph
Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) would like to advise that the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (GBCMA) is planning an environmental flow in September and October that will raise Goulburn River levels downstream of Lake Eildon and Goulburn Weir.
Following on from the previous email (dated 23 August), the planned flows are set to commence from Goulburn Weir on Tuesday 17 September, with releases gradually increasing daily to target around 8,000 ML/d by Thursday 26 September. The flows will then reduce daily to be around 830 ML/d by 19 October at Murchison and 23 October at McCoy Bridge. The planned hydrograph for the event is shown below:
Details of the planned flows will be made available through the event on the GMW webpage: https://www.g-mwater.com.au/water-resources/managing-water-storages
If you have any questions about the upcoming environmental flow, please phone Guy Ortlipp or Bob Knowles from GMW on 1800 013 357.
